That does mean that Harris could steal it from Warren for her campaign slogan of course, which would be both really bad and really funny

Speak of the devil, NYT ran a puff piece today about how Harris is speaking up even after people say she needs to wait because she's too junior

they actually throw out data if they think people didnt care to answer the question from what it looks like (it gets responses, but some of them dont count)

also the answers are randomized except none of the above which is the last one.

"272 collected / 500 targeted

235 answer(s) from 224 respondent(s)"

You don't understand, Gabbard is an Islamophobe and a Bad Democrat. Obama is a Good Democrat, despite droning countless innocent Muslims. Obama is good because he wasn't scared of them before he murdered them, I guess. That's how It Works.

On the other hand, Obama was a secret Muslim while Gabbard is pro Muslim genocide openly.

with all due respect, the article is about winning, not about what is right. And I think the current state of affairs demonstrates pretty clearly that, whether we like it or not, Democrats will have to move to the center in order to win. And winning now is essential. Just as you have been arguing with "move-to-the-center" ranters forever, so have the rest of us been dealing with "move-to-the-left" ranters for just as long, having now witnessed them (through Sanders and Nader) install two Republicans in the White House. Either the left wing of the Democratic Party will wake up to reality, or the Party will become even more irrelevant. Half of zero is zero.

There's also, more importantly, nothing to be gained from moving towards the GOP. The GOP is a credible actor entrenched in its ideological positions, and Dems trying to compete for the same marginal voters lying along the GOP / Dem fault line are late comers, pathetic "me too" politicians trying to make a living out of Republican politics. And the voters know that.

I also believe that we should compromise with the GOP in that slights to the holy and almighty Christian God should only be punished by prison and hard labor, with summary stonings only reserved for the harlots and the sodomites.

I can barely write that without drowning in anger, my God drat the Christian Right
