I don't think Pearl looks bad, and I like that she appears to have a different type of personality, more brash, compared to Callie or Marie. It's just that she looks worse than she is when compared to Marina.

The tips of her fingers having the ink colour is such a neat little touch, like fancy fluorescent nail polish. Pearl doesn't seem to have em so seems it's an octarian specific thing. I was holding out for a splatoon+switch bundle (Come on, eb games!!  ) but I'm tempted to just eat the full price and get a switch soon for that splatfest. Gotta fight for Team Cake on my honor as a baker!

Oh neat Crust Sean has a drinks menu that changes the odds of receiving specific abilities when your gear levels up. Edit: Aw amiibos aren't implemented in the demo.

I can draw them, but I can't post them. When I press the post button, it gives me options to post to Twitter (I don't want to do that) and to Facebook (I don't want to do that). If I back out of that screen, it says Post Canceled. The in-game help menu has nothing about how to actually submit the post without using social media. I know it's doing something because every time I try to post, it saves a copy of it in my Switch album, but if it's going anywhere else, it isn't telling me about it. Just make a facebook account exclusively for Wii U shitposting. That's what I did. I'm extremely glad that they put graffiti in the game. The death of the Miiverse is still a tragedy but this soothes the pain.

I'm going to miss the first Splatfest because I'm not getting this game until a week after release (because that's when the bday money comes in and I am a poor who can't afford to buy anything other than food rn). But let it be known that Team Ice Cream is the superior choice, both because of the dish and because Marina.

I'm going team cake because that's what my heart tells me, and Pearl seems like a better character during the one intro they do have when you run the demo. Also she glares at you real bad when she notices you spookin:  The other one might be cuter but she really does seem like the Pinky to Pearl's Brain.
