The people inclined to make such accusations have been really into Russia for a while, so no.

From a hockey ops perspective, he pulled off the coup that led to the Canucks picking both Sedins at the 99 draft.

He did a pretty good job in Vancouver and really did a great job in Anaheim.

ya I guess Brian Burke has done some ok stuff after all

Also I would like to know what exactly Don Sweeney is doing and why Pastrnak hasn't been given a 6.5 mil a year for the next 8 years, or whatever the gently caress he wants, yet.

And therefore won Boston a Cup by drafting cowardly women instead of strong Canadian boys.

This discussion reminds me of something I've been wondering: how much say does Brad Treliving actually have? I know he's the GM, but Burke is a known quantity and he's prez of hockey operations, so I feel like he supercedes any impulse Treliving has good or bad...

How many of the top 10 things in hockey history are some version of off-ice confrontation? Because there's Terry O'Reilly going into the crowd, the Flyers fan going into the box to fight Tie Domi, and, while they don't make the overall list, I love Tortorella at the Flames dressing room and injured as gently caress Darcy Tucker going from the press box to rinkside to try and get at Cam Janssen after Janssen hit Kaberle.

It's the hockey version of auto racing. People love the races but are really only watching hoping to catch an epic crash.

People love hockey but really love when the media filter breaks down and we get to see what it's really like inside the league.
