Make him apologise for being a flippy floppy diving prick, but not for giving a little lip back to an abusive fan who made physical contact with him over the barrier

Ah I didn't see that what he supposedly said was a threat. I mean the fan should not be reaching over but a threat like that, no matter how hollow or empty/in the moment it was isn't cool. Still, fan should be apologising as much and not setting some kind of standard that it's ok to make physical contact with players

If Melbourne is serious about following through with finals Oliver should follow through and murder that bloke IRL. Also now Hodge is free I would throw lots of money to bring him on a coaching role.

To me it just looks like he hesitated about whether to spoil/mark or brace for impact and that resulted in his arm being caught in that real awkward position.

It's a shame that Bucks has been so poo poo as a head coach, I really rate his knowledge whenever he's on one of the various footy shows. He's probably just better suited to being an assistant coach and I'd be all for Beveridge signing him as an assistant at the end of the year.

Their footy department has been pretty unstable for the last couple of years though hasn't it? Haven't they been through 3 different footy bosses in the space of a year with Gubby Allen getting suspended?

Did he have an assistant coaching role prior to being put in on the 2+3 year succession plan? Seems most people agree that you need some time at another club to get some perspective, experience etc.

It'll also be interesting to see what happens with the Gold Coast coaches as it looks like pretty much their whole footy department will get a clean out at the end of the year.

I'll be interested in what Hodge does next; no doubt he's a good tactician but whether that's enough in this day and age because you have to be across a lot of things, or if that's something he can pick up while doing his apprenticeship.
