Because in that game you stumble upon a medieval-ish tech civilization living in the middle of bumfuck nowhere and thus half the available outfits for Lara are medieval themed.

Early access? It looks like it was made in 1990.

Those textures look like they could have come from System Shock 1.

There was one random patrol encounter at the lumbermill in RotTR that always ended in an enemy t-posing. It was the same one every time. I figure it's a borked spawn point.

I did like that in Saints Row 4 if you cause enough chaos enemies start to spawn in the T-pose as a deliberate move by the devs, to show that you're loving up the alien matrix just that much.

It's fine, man, we'll program the game first and then go back and do the assets later. Maybe contract them out for a few thou. Distributed development!

Yeah there was some mission where you get a virus gun or something and all the pedestrian models started doing that thing where random points on their model were set to like the maximum x value of the map/space so they had giant glitched limb spikes and stuff, it even made me put my hand down by my pc box to see if it was blasting heat

I mean, that IS how development tends to work. Just usually they wait to release it until it doesn't look like garbage.

This is a common thing in SR4. There are rifts in the world where all the nearby NPCs have common graphical glitches applied to them intentionally, so they'll snap into the T-pose, have eyes and teeth but no face, try to use animations that don't fit their skeleton, turn into a mess of polygons, etc. it's amazing

There were also the side-missions where you had to fight waves of them trying to kill you, and they showed up in cars that were equally glitchy. Cars where the body span around instead of the wheels, upside-down cars, and cars that were just the wheels and the NPCs just floating in the air between them were the most noticeable ones

That was an actual glitch that'd happen in Saints Row 1. I remember somebody wrote a song about it and there was a video but I can't find it.

Volition is the kind of dev that will find glitches, realize they are hilarious or useful, and keep them. Saints Row 1 and 2 I think both had the thing where you could instantly enter a car by stealing it from the roof, bypassing the animation. This ruled.

2 also had this one where if you used a defib on corpses it would launch them into the air, they decided to keep it and I think made a video showing it off.

I have no idea why glitching wrestling games make me laugh so much, but thank you for that. And for the time stamps too. Not sure I would have wanted to watch the whole thing.

Reminds me of the one from a few years back where one of the guys was flying around the air uncontrollably resulting in him disappearing off the screen/map. Then he triumphantly returned through a slow walk back into the ring like 10 minutes later.

That's easily the best attitude to have as a game dev. When Hyrule Warriors had a hilarious glitch that let you swap specific weapons to specific characters, we ended up with Link dancing around like a J-pop idol:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzoYW9vwRdE

But since this is Nintendo and all, it was promptly fixed and now you can't trick the game into equipping weapons on the wrong characters.
