I asked for this before, I'll try again: I remember a clip of an Opie-heavy segment--might have been one of his fights or greggshell moments--that had edited his voice's pitch to sound extra whiny. So. Jim and Sam will play middle of the road, Ellis moved to the death slot for "west coast mornings" and is literally only there because of any awesome supporting cast, Opie is gone, DiPaulo is a weird Trumper, and Covino and Rich dont fit on the channel and were explicitly told by Ellis that he vetoed them on the channels inception. Also we've got Roland eating and Dr Steve telling me my penis is probably fine. What a great channel.

I don't mind Ellis most of the time except when he's talking about his dumb events he throws and talking about organizing them on the air or anything about motocross or racing or fighting that he gets into. And I am pretty into Love and Heche for some reason I'm not certain of which is his weekend show where he does an hour or two with Anne Heche and maybe his fiancé. I wish he had any other slot tho and maybe just a Jim and Sam replay in the 11 slot because I am in my car just about every day from 11-5. I can't even come close to listening to Covino and Rich. I like DiPaulo.

I never minded Nick DiPaulo as a guest and I'm a flaming leftist. But I tried his new show this weekend when everything was in best of and it was just literal regular right wing political talk show. At least Anthony had years of making me laugh hysterically before Obama broke him and he started spending 1/3 of each show ranting.

Enjoyed hearing Ellis give the worst reading of that movie promo SXM is running across all channels right now. After being tired from hearing it repeatedly from every different show and channel it was great to hear them take the piss out of it for a moment.

I hate the ads as much as anybody but I’m sure Sirius didn’t make a conscious decision to only allow some companies to advertise that wasn’t based on “gas enough money to buy ad space”

It's not dead at all, they have a pretty good strategy forcing it into new car sales, and people love convenience. They should be near death at this point but it's a pretty healthy company right now. As the boomers die off it'll decline but Sirius is good for the next decade at least unless they make some boneheaded moves. The stock has doubled in the last 4 years to $5.40 currently, and it was down to as low as $0.12 back in 2008 when they merged and the whole great recession thing.
