He seemed to loosen up quite a bit in the World Series when he didn't have someone as awful as Troy Aikman weighing him down, and I think he's finally clear of any real or perceived pressure to live up to his father. Buck is on the record as saying that he's done calling baseball the minute that part of his Fox contract is up, and he's probably not going to stick around with football too much longer after that. He's made more money than he could ever spend in his life, he got remarried to a Broncos cheerleader, he's talking about having another kid, he just seems to be in the same "whatever, I don't give a gently caress" stage that John Cena's in.

Yeah Mendoza was doing her damndest to fit in a really awkward broadcast at the HR Derby (and i guarantee she couldn't hear poo poo in her headset, which is what led to her talking louder) but she's fantastic overall

No. Baseball isn't great when it comes to color commentators but there are still a lot of good ones. She's much better than Joe Morgan at least. Perhaps it's my dislike of 3 person booths (the Mets being the exception) and how ESPN does their baseball coverage. They seem to pick a topic that everyone talked about 6 months ago and beat it to death. Did you know Joe Maddon is quirky and drives an RV?

Fox Sports embrace debate is not only not going away, they're doubling down and forcing them to cover the sports Fox has rights to. This is going to be the greatest trainwreck in the history of trainwrecks. I guess they're pissed off all they talk about is the NBA and NFL and I mean, if you're going to basically be ESPN lite, of course that's all you're going to talk about. http://awfulannouncing.com/fox/debate-shows-fox-cover-fs1-sports.html Also, James Miller was on Simmons' podcast. Haven't listened to it yet but It's James Miller so it'll rule.

It's pretty good in terms revealing how the executive is structured at espn and how big decisions are made. A lot of it tho is Simmons complaining about how no one listened to him and that many of their current problems would've been fixed if they just followed his insight. It also sounds like Bill is the worst employee ever. He basically said he complained constantly about bad leadership and routinely emailed the CEO with suggestions on why his friends need to be promoted.
