How could Zamasu, before even unlocking Rose, kill a guy who is stronger than current Goku and THEN have trouble fighting Goku and Vegeta till he unlocked Rose and zenkai boosts. It just doesn't add up.

Any of the super powerful defenders probably never knew the God of Destruction is dead as there nobody to warn them since the Kai is also dead and the Angel is disabled. I imagine his plan to go exterminate planets would run into one them in time, but considering how one of them is immortal and the other gets way stronger each time he defeated, he probably catch up with them in time.

The Pride Troopers wouldn't necessarily be able to survive in space, nor would they have Instant Transmission, so Zamasu could probably planet-gank pretty effectively.

Yeah, this is probably the go to. Killing each individual mortal doesn't seem like it'd be particularly efficient. He probably has some sort of Buu style genocide attack, and if he senses a strong power he just blows the planet the hell up. That or the authors didn't think it through. Either or.

The only one that could even possibly survive is Jiren; all the others are shown in space ships but when we see Jiren he's been meditating in an infinite black void. It could be Space or it could just be some special chamber.

If Beerus is chilling on his own planet taking a nap when Zamasu shows up at the Supreme Kai's planet and shanks Shin, rewinding time for a couple minutes isn't going to make any difference because Beerus won't have time to physically travel there because GoDs and Angels don't have any form of instant transmission.

Conspiracy Time, grab on hard to your tinfoil hats folks!  Saw this theory on a spanish forum that said the number on the balls each warrior is holding hints to their elimination order. I searched the opening in many qualities and the numbers are almost impossible to make out with the exception of Krillin who has the 1 star, Frieza who has the 7 star (and won't be a surprise if he is the last of the 7 to be defeated) and 18 who has the 5 stars. Piccolo may be holding the 2 star and 17 the 4 star, which leaves Roshi with the 3 star, and Tien with the 6 star, which would be neat since he blew hard during the recruitment arc. It probably won't turn out to be the case but I think it would be a cool detail if they spoilered it in the opening.

Why didn't Goku recruit Arale for this tournament? He got two other androids, so she'd seem like a natural person to include. And Vegeta understands her nearly unlimited gag-manga powers. She's an expert at knocking people into the distance with her patented Arale kick and headbutt. She could solo an entire team, probably.

The fact that it's total erasure, instead of just dumping everyone into some huge blank afterlife, is what makes it perfectly extra horrifying. And the erasure happens on the spot! What I originally thought was going to be a weird inverse where the audience grows the more the fight goes on, is instead extra creepy and surreal as the already empty arena grows more and more depopulated.

Think about it, Universe 9 is shown to be in chaos and disarray with criminals running around destroying stuff and is the lowest rated. Universe 6 is higher than Universe 7. Why? Probably because the Sayians act as an intergalactic peace keeping force. Universe 11 is decently high up there and has a superhero team keeping the peace across the galaxy. Having people like Freeza, Cell, and Kid Buu is probably why Universe 7 has such a low mortal rating: because they're all so dangerous and evil. I'm think the purpose of the Kais is to help foster and grow life and purpose of the GoD is to removes entities and life forms that work to destroy it. All the shithole universes like U7 and U9 have gods that work in opposition to this.
