It can do some really cool effects. The horns on the Fraacta are done the same way, but with thinned out P3 red ink, and a straight GW gloss nuln oil layer to deepen the recesses.

325 Limited Insertion is a pain in the rear end with Onyx, so this is what I've slammed together. I was tempted to put a HMG Rodok in the fireteam at the expense of the Malignos and just run the Nexus elsewhere, but I'm not so sure on that, maybe fiddle the points and get a Malignos FO in the list. There's a bit saturation zone in the middle of the table he could hide in too. I'm a bit undecided who to put in the fireteam, the Spitfire for the crazy burst or the Samaritan to use it to deliver him. B2 Vorpal CCW is hilarious as well, i've caught a TAG and an Al-Fasid with it so far.

So, Intruders are a THING. Above average BS, MSV2, and Camo. The Sniper one has an X visor, too. The HMG guy I like to play as hold until first active turn with a solid target lined up, then surprise shot out, then go suppressive if either he or your opponent is pushing into midfield. The TR bot can hold the other flank handily, while the two free Jags help get Lupe's Fireteam into a dominant position. Massacre and his buddies go searching for truth and fun. Most everyone calls it mayhem and murder, but it's truth and fun. Trust me. I tend to hold or hide the Tomcats until they are needed or if they can sneak on a board edge to cause some havoc. The Tomcat Engineer is well worth having in case you pull Sabotage as a Classified. Oh yes, and the Morans typically stay prone somewhere midfield to let the Koalas do their job, and to act as boss repeaters for the Aggie Hacker.

Marching Powder is objectively the worst poster known. He also needs to learn how a keyboard works.

My only thing I'd be worried about in that list is the lack of something like a non MSV sniper to cover things if a smart player uses white noise against the intruder (tbh, it's rare because no one ever looks at what their hackers can loving do, but when it comes up, it gets messy). Someone got wrecked hard on Saturday with a similar list when his MSV sniper and HMG guys got blapped through white noise, and his TR got flanked by a drop troop coming in from the side and running around it's back.

Though nothing will be funnier than the guy I saw using a super MSV heavy Pan-o list, and getting almost totally wiped T1 by an Overdron :V

Oh man don't remind me. I still don't understand CB's insistence on all the dumb LE models. Like, this is a niche game - why the need to put out even more niche copies of things? Only the secondary market wins. I was at a flea market this past weekend and a guy had all sorts of cheap infinity models but one stuck out to me because it was marked at $50. It was a yuan yuan, and I didn't see anything special about it. Guy said it was a battlefoam tie-in and the dude was standing on a battlefoam case. :psyduck: Apparently the last sold one was at $150 and I probably should've just picked it up to resell but whatever~

Thanks! We played 3 rounds:

Mission 1: Supplies vs. Morats. Played against a old friend. I managed to Nab one box and with CrazyKoalas, make him think twice about securing the other two. His Knorak Haris link was surprisingly tough, but the Tomcat Engineer walked on the board behind them, planting D Charges for the Classified, and shot the guy who secured his only package.

Mission 2: Firefight vs. MRRV. Played against one of our local best players. Great guy. A couple of really bad F2F rolls cost me most of my heavy weapons options Play of the Game for me went to the brave Aguacil Paramedic who, after the link was in shambles, managed to kill his Knauf who had been tearing their link apart. Stupid gambles pay off, occasionally! Unfortunately, Massacre couldn't open a box if his life depended on it. :/

Mission 3: Frontline vs. Imperial Service. Played against a pal. So, I had cheated him by hacking a TO camo marker in ZOC of my Repeater. While you can ask if the marker is hackable, you cannot hack them until they leave marker state. Niether can CrazyKoalas. Despite feeling terrible about that, I felt we had a tight game. Lupe failed to Panzer his TR HMG bot, so she bit it early in the game. The Intruder HMG managed to score down the leader of the Wu Ming link and then went into Suppressing Fire, to keep the rest of them out of the way. Going Second let me get one of the Morans far enough up to nab 3 of the 4 zones. I got used to jokingly calling them Morons, but to be honest, those guys are worth their weight in gold. CrazyKoalas are amazing zone and objective control because they deploy up with the Morans. Toss in the FO profile, Mimetism, and Repeater, and it's a solid piece. I like to keep them prone until it's clear, then stand and use Suppressing Fire. It's a shame they wear these drat Ned Flanders skiing outfits.

The comparison was that they are extremely similar but Wildcats were cheaper despite their additional equipment. Now that Kamau are 4-4 again its not as apt. We were already used to 1 SWC HMGs especially when they only cost 24 points. The MSV2 sniper is only one point cheaper than the Nisse sniper and he's got two armor on the Kamau. The main use for Kamau before this change was the light grenade launcher with x-visor and now that profile is gone. I'm not saying this change is completely bad, especially now that they're 4-4 again, but they're not anything new or interesting.

I'm pretty sure that the wildcat comparison was supposed to show how bad wildcats look in comparison, not the other way around.

Getting msv2 into a link without paying for it with all of your models? Fantastic.

Faster speed and mimetism for just a couple of points? Fantastic.

Three different specialists with good in faction WP? Fantastic.

Rocket Launcher for less SWC with an SMG? Is this even PanO anymore?

Flamethrowers are cool and explosives might help you complete and objective, but Kamau seem way better than Wildcats. That is kinda PanO's thing though. Better, cheaper, no smoke / WB, fewer tricks.

Edit: I think they are cool and good, enough so that I apparently misread the direction people were complaining.

Eh, I'd argue that the Nisse sniper isn't linkable! Kamau may not seem too exciting now, but they will certainly have a place once their sectorial is finalised. I think that is pretty much the right point of balance - vanilla factions have so many options for 'best in class' individual models that supplanting them with every new release would be counterproductive.

While I am not quite as heavily pro-Kamau as KPC Mammon, I think they are certainly competitive, and will make a good core choice for a new sectorial.

The comparison to Wildcats was done with 4-2 movement in mind. Here's another comparison:

Sure KTS lacks the dreaded BS13 but they also have courage, +1 WIP, an additional armor, and extra weapons. I'll give you MSV2 in a link but that's not until the next book comes out. Ariadna has more WIP12 units than PanO does. The only reason it defines them is thats what their Doctor and Engineer have. HRLs on LI are always 1.5 SWC.

Kamau aren't linkable until their sectorial is released either. The problem is that the PanO design space is already packed with units like this. Kamau were described as the Navy Seals of PanO but they are extremely similar to Bagh-Mari and Nisse. None of these profiles are unique and an analog for them exists elsewhere. Specialist Operative with an SMG and d-charges, boarding shotgun FO with limited camo, keep the grenade launcher x-visor. These are interesting profiles that fit the fluff and don't step on the polydactyl toes of the standard PanO combi guy with mimetism and probably a visor of some kind.
