The Detroit Red Wings were missing a key piece: a kinda overpaid player on the wrong side of 30. So we're going to draft Keith Yandle

Have you ever heard of the expression "offense wins games, defense wins championships"?

Well let me pick yet another defenseman. This guy is a young RHD, while his offense is so-so his defense is fantastic. He's more than worthy to play on my second pairing. The next addition to the best defense in the league is Brett Pesce.

So my team now looks like this:
Hedman - Klingberg
Klefbom - Pesce

Talbot

The Pens defence this year was essentially Justin Schultz and a collection of cleverly disguised windsocks.

You are uh... Going to have a lot of trouble scoring.

The Leafs are proud to select current Leafs goalie Frederik Andersen. Choices for starters was starting to get concerning and he's got the biggest track record of "Good Young Goalies" that I wanted to pick from. There's a bunch of others but they hadn't played enough minutes for me to be comfortable taking them. Andersen had a solid first year with the Leafs and seems to be able to do the whole starter thing.

Jordan is up followed by FurnaceFace.
