Always thought the shotgun from the first F.E.A.R was very satisfying to use, especially if you use it while activating your slow motion.

It may transcend "shotgun" as it passes into some strange power-weapon territory, but loading up dual-wielded shotguns with ricocheting ammunition in Wolfenstein: TNO is like turning yourself into a sort of human-mulching machine.

I completely forgot how much I miss Blood, and that 'Son of a bitch must PAY' came from there. Been saying that on and off when blowing poo poo up in FPS's over the years, and I had completely blanked on where it came from. Also, the pickup for health... was that a Steam notification sound?

 One of my favorite dumb shotgun concepts to this day is still the Daikatana Shotcycler. A weapon so dumb it actually has other application besides shooting baddies; acting as a proto-rocketjump with no health drawbacks. Or maybe I'm just trying to justify my love for dumb guns in general.

The guns in DO4M didn't feel very satisfying to me, even the rocket launcher felt pretty wimpy. The gibs were also pretty unsatisfying imo outside of the melee animations, enemies just kinda fall apart into little pluts of gibs. It is still a fun game though, the fast pace is refreshing.
