I would say it seemed pretty even-handed considering Chapo's entire premise is attacking the Graun's brand of liberalism. Its biggest source of bias is leaving out a bunch of context--like, they explain who El Chapo is and what a trap house is, but not why they chose to call the podcast Chapo Trap House (so it sounds like a mixtape). I would be confused as poo poo by that if I didn't know the backstory already. Or else think CTH were just edgy VICE types.

The only fair criticism of Chapo and Jacobin writers is that they are mostly children of the upper/upper-middle class who do the same romanticizing of the working class as the conservatives pundits do, except with actual solutions to the problems. People like Connor Kilpatrick love talking about being the dirtbag left, but they really haven't experienced poverty, so it is just the same kind of poo poo but from the left. One example was when they were talking about Bernie being so poor he had to steal electricity, which they equated to borrowing a neighbor's wifi access. It's this thing where they try to act like they too know what it's like to struggle, since there is a feeling of it giving them cred. The guys from Street Fight have lived a far more working class life and never really romanticize it like that. I mean ultimately, I'm not gonna fault the CTH folks for being successful. If their lives are a little less lovely, and I'm able to better understand and contextualize my disdain for pundits or neoliberal policy, then I'm happy!
