The president is whining on twitter again that his "beleaguered ag" isn't investigating Clinton's emails or her Russian ties. Either he doesn't know that he has the power to tell sessions directly to just do it or he has and sessions has told him there's nothing there to investigate or prosecute and his panties are in a bunch.

It will still be illegal, just as it has been: It shall be unlawful for any person— who is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance to ... possess ... any firearm or ammunition. 18 USC 922(g)(3) I wouldn't think public dispensaries would require registration, so that would make it harder for the feds to get the evidence that a person is a marijuana user. Whether it makes any difference will depend on how much effort the feds want to put into it, either on the ATF side or the DEA side.

I know the dispensaries in WA state very specifically do not make any copies of, nor do they note anything about your ID (required to prove age, I think,) but they also only accept cash, so there is no way for the Feds to chase down a customer. (And more importantly for them, no records for them to keep, outside of sales records for taxes.) I'm sure Kalifornia will be more than happy to legally require a paper trail so that you cannot exercise all of your rights.
