No, because then he wouldn't have hired all those people specialized in racketeering and other similar criminal offenses. I trust Mueller to do his job, and to be smart enough to have a plan in place if Orange Julius tries to fire him.

cruz is a net plus to democrats in the senate given his lust for stabbing other republicans in the back and that he is so slimy it is possible (though very unlikely) he could lose in 2018 while anyone appointed in Texas would assuredly win re-election in 2018.

I think Capito might be a yes for the "skinny" repeal since it carefully avoids most of what she objected to. Its also a mystery to me what Heller will do. Collins is probably a no, but I'm not sure where the other 2 no's are coming from.

By the way, if "skinny repeal" passes, the sadbrain "we're doomed" crowd will not have been proven right or vindicated in any way, because this was not something being seriously considered until today, and it is far less bad than 2015 repeal or Cruz's bill.

Hey, man, I'm one of the most pessimistic and worried people here, and both of these sound completely ridiculous.

Mueller's team is politically varied but importantly not politically vocal, they're experienced in a wide range of legal fields with direct experience prosecuting white-collar crimes, and all of them appear to be historically professional and honorable. I don't worry about Mueller's team even a little bit.

I am worried, though, that Mueller ends up getting fired somehow, and Congress doesn't have the votes to create a veto-proof counsel with Mueller leading it (if they have enough votes to create one at all). I'm less worried about Mueller's team not finding anything on Trump himself.

Its not ideal because it'll cause a death spiral and raise costs, but we're not talking about poor people on expanded medicaid who wanted health care.
