So it doesn't seem like my ps4 pushes game updates in rest mode. It's supposed to right? I have the option checked. I have to manually go to the game and click check for update. It'll do it all in rest mode once I start it or if I start a whole game install remotely

So many different factors. Would like confirmation of the folder bit. This one was on my main screen, and played fairly recently Ineffiable posted:The system only checks like early in the morning. Sleeper hit is TeeKO, which took a little bit to get into mechanically but came together extremely well by the end of the game. That's not even mentioning the style, which is the strongest of any of the games.

Look for finger prints too. I once had a game refuse to install because there was a big thumb print on my disc.

Word on Pyre is that it is amazingballs. Visual novel (this part is scaring me off. I don't game to read, sorry.) 3 on 3 sportsball game. Fun apparently but single player only. Local multiplayer sports-only mode. Killer soundtrack.

Man I'm glad someone else thought GOW3 sucked cause I never played it on ps3 (played 1, 2 and the 2 psp ones) and i thought maybe it just aged badly but by the third loving time i was in a giant cube puzzle dungeon, i was kinda done.

Yeah I stuck through the cut scenes and it just felt awful. I suppose coming from a fast button mashing game like Nier didn't help Just felt unpolished idk. I should probably stay away from most remasters now that some real quality stuff is dropping

GoWIII is in my top ten favorite games of all time. Definitely shows its age though. If I were just picking it up in 2017 I can see myself being unsatisfied with it.

Started Hearts of Stone as my palate-cleanser after N:A route B and I'm very torn between two comparisons to HZD. Even only after the opening questlines that set up what the story of the expansion is going to be, the writing and voice work are reminding me that as much as I generally enjoyed HZD's, TW3 genuinely was a cut above (and this isn't even the expansion people really like!). But the mechanics and UI, patched several times since I beat the base game, still feel simultaneously shallow and insanely complicated, like you're asked to juggle five different versions of HZD's sore-thumb D-pad item interface without it really mattering that much.

Witcher's writing is top notch. But that combat is terrible and I just can't with it. I know Guerilla Games worked with some of the devs for Witcher for HZD and it shows. Yeah the combat in Witcher 3 is boring and bad, if you play it on the PC you can mod all fights to be Gwent matches which is the optimal way to get through them

Maybe they'll have an excuse to revamp the combat system if she ends up being the main protag of TW4.
