I reject the idea that Trump's morning Tweetstorms are an intentional distraction from Congress's abhorrent legislative agenda, or even that they serve to distract. People can, at once, be waiting with baited breath to see if begging people from Alaska and Maine is going to be enough to save healthcare from a death spiral and also baffling at the fact that the President appears to believe he enacted a major, bigoted policy change via Twitter, without addressing any of the people who would enforce said policy change and without directive on how to enforce it. Even the petty celebrity feuds don't exactly absorb news coverage of the bickering children arguing over how to destroy the lives of poor people.

Yeah I don't get it. I know nothing about how the military functions in reality, but I've known my fair share of people who "owed time" to the military in one way or another (ROTC for example). I would have assumed that if you opted for elective procedures like HRT or getting pregnant, that they would absolutely find another job for you that would be suitable. Like I'm sure there's a poo poo ton of paper pushing that needs to be done isn't there?
