Finally, a better second line center than Robert Reichel. Now to get rid of Lumme and (Ren)Berg...

I remember being super excited for Messier setting up Bure, the All-Star game in Vancouver and the Olympics all in one year and how things were on the up and up for the Canucks. I was a painfully naive child. That was also the year of the whale logo coming out and I remember hats and shirts being impossible to find and desperately wanting one. 1998 was a weird time to be a Canucks fan. I wish I could stand up for my principles and stop watching hockey because I don't like a thing, but we all know that's not going to happen. It didn't happen with PK and it probably should have It didn't happen with the Olympics and it probably should have It didn't happen with Markov and ehh I guess maybe this wouldn't have done it, but still.

Although, that's probably more to do with I got bored to death due to Therrien hockey in the previous seasons, and then I got lazy and video games were more fun. Solution: play more video games. Embrace playoff posting.

I very pointedly stopped giving the NHL/Caps money after the most recent lockout, but it would be really hard for me to stop being a fan of the team. And by really hard I mean I'm still a Redskins fan.

If Justin Abdelkader is the next captain of the Red Wings I'm literally done until every last piece of Holland is scrubbed from that team. c u in 2035 when they make the playoffs again e: I haven't bought any red wings gear, watched or attended a game since right after they lost to Tampa the first time and I almost assuredly won't until Holland is gone Last game I went to was vs. the Islanders 1-25-16 and last one I watched on TV was probably against the Rangers that March Teemu Pokemon fucked around with this message at 18:40 on Jul 28, 2017 |

No professional sports championships before free agency count, especially in baseball, and I believe hockey, where teams had territorial rights to incoming players

That's a dangerous road because it generates the concept of retroactively revoking trophies from players who played before anyone gave a poo poo about athlete conditioning. It's just a greatest of all time argument disguised as something even worse.
