Nuns with Guns posted:Did the three parallel plots in the meek ever join up or reveal how they tie into each other? Nope! It hasn't even gone much past the introductions. It's pretty slowly paced, and updates glacially (although I know Der-Shing is focusing on finishing Mare Internum soon). [Edit] Also, Der-Shing just started a new Kickstarter. The Meek one recently shipped, and Mare Internum probably won't get a proper one until it's finished, but this one is for some pins based on Mare Internum, with some stickers and a signed print available. The Kallakore pin rewards are almost all gone. Pyroclastic fucked around with this message at 04:59 on Jul 27, 2017 |

It updated glacially (years ago) then it died (for several years), and then it came back (at about the same time as her new comic started). Right now Mare Internum is getting preferential focus, I think with the idea to finish it before the end of the year so she can switch focus back to The Meek. And it's getting updated pretty dang frequently, so that's possibly a good sign for Meek after Mare is over. But yeah, if you vaguely remember The Meek from ages ago, it hasn't moved much since then because it didn't exist for the vast majority of that time. But I genuinely believe it's back, and also Mare Internum is really dang good.

Just recently discovered Scurry, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't heard of it. It's a non-furry story about a community of mice surviving after all the humans have apparently died in the apocalypse. It's kinda Secret of NIMH meets Watership Down. And the art is loving gorgeous. The artist just wrapped up the 5th chapter with plans to continue, so there's a good chunk to read through.

Barring everything else going on with Rjinder, him enjoying his monster's company and not wanting it gone isn't that weird. Most of the cast feel the same way about their monsters. And it's not like Rjinder has many friends to begin with either.

The question is whether he's sincere about this, or whether he's covering for his monster threatening him. We've seen little enough of their interactions that it could go either way, though if the latter I think his would be the only monster hostile to its host?

I was hoping that Amber slicing up that guy in Dumbing of Age would mean she'd be forced into some court mandated therapy, and also signal the end the awful Amazigirl stuff. Guess I was giving Willis to much credit thinking he could ever jettison any character idea he ever has.

The latest williscomic only says that the chubby nerd girl with glasses who's also somehow a superathletic costumed vigilante tried to kill a guy. If you try to kill someone, you don't hit at the crotch, you hit at the chest (lungs, heart) or head (brain).

Dorothy was attacked by the campus rapist, who wanted to kill or maim her for outing him before he was arrested. Amber was there at the time, and because she is secretly violent and dangerous, she did not have much trouble taking the knife from the guy who usually only commits crimes against people who are already unconscious. She then proceeded to mess him up in ways that the audience isn't privy to, but were probably more than a little bit worse than she actually needed to do to render him harmless. Amber is not under arrest for this because the security cameras and witnesses made it very clear that Ryan was the attacker and Amber stabbed him with his own weapon. None of the police officers involved ever discovered that Amber is the campus vigilante or that she has dangerous untreated mental illness, so that doesn't come into the picture.

Ryan dropped the knife which meant that Amber would have had to stoop down to pick it up after subduing him. You're kidding yourself if you think a university would let a student go back to school a few days after something like that happened.

I looked up what happened and I am very disappointed. We don't get to see any dick stabbing at all. I was hoping after Willis' foray into porn he'd be less squeamish about the fun parts of genital mutilation but yet again he has forsaken me. Also Jesus Christ what is even this comic. "YOU LOVE MONSTERS" What melodramatic loving soap opera Alert me if we get any real dick stabbing.

You're kidding yourself if you think a university would let a student go back to school a few days after something like that happened. I admit I'm not familiar with university protocols for how to deal with students who stab their attackers up real good, but this is the same university that decided to deal with "one of our RAs is a serious alcoholic and she's sleeping with one of the students she's supposed to be supervising" by, uh, ignoring it. Admittedly a big donor pushed them to do that, but I'm just saying, there's not a big commitment to justice for justice's sake here. quote:What melodramatic loving soap opera Soap opera is pretty much what this strip is, yes.
