When they passed out body parts in the comics today, I got Cathy's nose and Dick Tracy's private parts.
It says a lot that Watterson's imitation of a kid's drawing still shows more artistic proficiency than most of the current comics drawn by adults.

I think this is pretty common for this thread--stuff that is just enjoyable to read doesn't get much feedback. I was reading it and was kind of into the murder story it was on but not exactly on the edge of my seat for it. Most of the other classic strips you posted I read but wasn't so into, but I thought King Aroo was adorable and enjoyed the hell out of classic Nancy.

I appreciate all the work artists put into their strips back then and like seeing the old strips, but I admit I don't know why anyone ever liked Lil' Abner. Still if you post it I'll probably read it.
