Man, they're really not dragging out the volume 4 adaptation. Wonder if we'll get any volume 5 stuff this season as well.

Volume 5 is a prequel and Volume 4 hasn't reached two of the new characters from the OP yet, so I would assume that we're going to basically skip 5 and get at least partway into 6, unless those new chars are anime-original.

I suspect that we're getting some of the fluffier chapters out of order, too. We seem to have skipped the Christmas chapters for now, and that seems like the sort of scene the adaptation would want to make a point of hitting at some point.

People are dumb. Isn't Tokyo, along with cities like LA (who's hosting the 2028 Summer Olympics), one of the few cities that can host the Olympics without a major financial blow because they can tell the IOC to go gently caress itself about building new infrastructure?

Why would they take more air time than when they're outside of Japan? It's still the same things to cover.

Specials, documentaries, and additional flavour commentary? I generally find that sports events within a country get more air time, because holy crap we're hosting the Olympics. London was certainly a bigger media presence for us than Beijing, for instance.

Cheer Fruits ep 3 was better than 2. It still had a good portion of it devoted to some cliched sports drama, but it was funnier, and drill hair ojou is good. The bit where she jumps in to fight our heroine on impulse was great. The cliffhanger at the end was a development I'd been expecting for a while. I'll probably keep up with this, yeah.

Having caught up with Knights and Magic, I've come to the conclusion that it isn't bad. I mean, it's pacing is off, but it does enough right that I can't fault it too badly.

Alot of isekai shows are basically masturbatory fantasies, but the show ends up giving alot of good scenes to side characters that it doesn't fall into that trap. Like the dude who panicked in an earlier episode, he gets lots of funny faces, and gets to redeem himself and some badass scenes of his own. And the bad guys even get to score a few wins, to present a credibly threat to the overpowered MC. And it's cool seeing other people exploit Elemental Armor against Mecha proper.

Contrast with Smartphone, which is worthless garbage throughout.
