One of my co-workers in my previous job quit mid-call while dealing with a System Down. I got the call transferred to me and fixed it in 30 minutes after realizing the royal fuckup the dude who quit had caused. While the job was well-paid, sometimes customer interactions could get stressful in a real loving hurry for the dudes that did support over the phone, especially because of the whole "Smile through your voice, no foul language" policies for them. Luckily, I had no such policies, so I was able to tell the dude "You don't know what you were doing, were you?". I'm glad that most of my calls were with other tech-savvy dudes.
