I would say 90% of bad voice acting in the last 10 years is a bad voice director, because VA's are given so very little context of the situation that it's up to the director to make sure everything fits. Even the considered top-notch studios like cupcake or 8-4 have stories of VA's having absolutely no idea what the scenes were in story-heavy rpgs. The 10% are people who were hired last minute or were from an interns rust bucket, or cheapskate contractors like Ignition. The .05% is something like Final Fantasy X where the game will literally crash if the voice actors don't match exactly with the file length of the japanese audio.

I remember when people were complaining about the voice acting in the English dub for the first Dissidia Final Fantasy game, Kuja's English VA responded that the only voice direction they were given was, "Just try to mimic the Japanese VA's performance as much as you can."

I've never found Fuuka's voice weird and was surprised when I saw the usual reaction to it on the internet, then again english isn't my first language so I guess I can't tell she sounds unnatural as easily.

Paula Tiso's Fuuka sounds super stiff and almost robotic; sort of like Data from Star Trek: TNG. Which would be fitting if she were voicing the actual robot, who instead sounds like a female Microsoft Sam, but isn't really that good for a teenage girl. Honestly, due mainly to the performances of the VAs for Fuuka and a character we haven't seen yet, I feel this is the worst voice-acted Atlus game I've played. Junpei, Yukari, Akihiko, and Shinjiro are all fairly well-done, and Tara Platt is at her best here (I honestly didn't know she played both Mitsuru and Elizabeth until I was told, and still can't really hear any similarities between the two), but everyone else is average at best. Granted, "everyone else" is mostly a bunch of re-used VAs for minor roles, with the exception of the rest of the party.

She's even got HP and SP; technically speaking, Fuuka has the worst in both for obvious reasons. Logically speaking, it literally doesn't matter and so Yukari has the worst HP.  As you may be aware, its attack power and accuracy level are only adequate... However, I think it is tres magnifique! A one-handed sword is a refined, sophisticated weapon. You should consider wielding one.One-handed swords are... okay. They're not my preferred weapon type, but they do a good enough job. I do prefer them early on to two-handed swords but now that we have two-handers that can actually hit things... I actually enjoyed Persona Q when it came out. Granted, I hadn't played any Etrian Odyssey games at the time, but I thought it was fairly fun. I've heard that it's generally disliked, though. Other than the awful balance, what were the main problems with the game?

I also actually liked Persona Q a lot, mostly because I just like the cast of this game and I'm too Bad At RPGs to play the standard EO games very well, so the reduced difficulty didn't bug me. Don't really care about the Rhythm games, but hey, I'm sure someone will.
