My parents said if i got anything less than a B I was grounded or whatever punishment. So when I got back the test, I held off showing it to my parents for a day, all the while trying to convince my parents i was sure i got a B and it was clear I'll get a B but if I got a D then something was probably up with the teacher, no way itll happen but if it did someone was setting me up. When I showed my parents the next day, they didn't even pretend they weren't aware I had obviously seen the test and was trying to get out of trouble. I learned a hard lesson that day. The moral of my story is Trump uses the same language to get out of trouble I did in the 4th grade.
