Johnny Lee Miller should play the Question.

Conspiracy theorist/Rorschach-esque JLU Question is probably the most popular, but I could see Arrow going with Denny O'Neil's Zen master martial artist version who teamed up with Green Arrow in the late '80s a lot, especially since they have been influenced by so much of O'Neil's other work with the League of Assassins, etc. I love the Question, but I've always had a soft spot for Rick Veitch's creepy urban shaman version. It would also be cool if they got Jim Caviezel to play Vic Sage, since Michael Emerson is also joining the cast this season.

They've announced how the crossover is going to work this year. Starting Nov 27th with Supergirl with Arrow on right after and then the next day with Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. They also said that the Supergirl episode will actually be integrated this time.

And I missed this news earlier, but they're moving Arrow to Thursday's at 8 for some reason.

It's true that many of the versions of the Question are great, but I think the JLU version was probably the best. It could work really well mixed in with the TV news anchor version, I think. Just so long as he's insufferable.

I've got it: live-action take on DCAU Question, played by David Duchovny.

As long as he plays his character from Twin Peaks.

If they're doing The Question, the season's big bad needs to be aglets.

If they're doing the Question the season's big bads need to be poverty and the fact that it's impossible to solve crime by punching criminals. An actual comics-accurate Question would be the perfect foil for Mayor Queen, and force the show to go back to at least the level of social consciousness it was at in the first season, where the bad guys were rich people who wanted to kill poor people. Goddamnit, That loving Justice League cartoon ruined The Question and John Stewart. Who had been two of DC's best, most complex characters until they were completely changed to fit a Saturday morning cartoon and that became the only version people knew about.

Please tell more about Jon Stewart! He was one of the few black heroes I never got into. What was different in comics vs JLU and such?

He was an artist who made cool fancy constructs, not boring spheres and beams. Boring marine Stewart is all cartoon.

That shaped how he saw the world, not just how he saw space and constructions, but how he saw relationships between people. When he was tasked with policing a patchwork world made up of different parts of other worlds, he saw keeping peace between the different races as an architectural and engineering problem, not a political one. He was also a black man. Not just in the incidental way he was in the show, it was a huge part of how he saw himself. But it wasn't just a source of pride and strength, he had his own exaggerated mental image of what a good black man was. He had to square the fact that he had left his community, become essentially a cop, and dated exclusively alien and white women since then with that image of a good black man. You should check out Green Lantern Mosaic, it's basically an examination of the character. Unfortunately since the JLU cartoon made him a Marine that got added to his backstory in the comics, and it's pretty common for comic writers to just fall back on that, rather than actually trying to write him as he was presented in Mosaic.

Mosaic does have that taint on it now due to what happened to the writer so it might be next to impossible to find it because I don't see them ever reprinting it now. I think they even stopped putting out the digital issues on comixology after that all came out.

The marine stuff was later folded in a bit more, but they retain a lot of his attention to detail and meticulousness in his constructs. There's an issue from several years ago which shows off him assembling a sniper rifle construct with each and every individual part as a separate construct as he puts it together. The lantern who has the "boring" constructs is Hal iirc.

The back issues are cheap as poo poo except for #18. 1-17 can be had for a buck each, #18 probably under $10.

His only advantage is that he has the most "Willpower." Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz aren't great either, but it's nice to watch Cruz develop from someone with crippling anxiety to a full fledged superhero. Simon otoh is a lot less interesting. At least he doesn't have his gun anymore
