Sonic 3 & Knuckles is my favorite game of all time and Sonic Mania... might actually be better than it

If they have DLC that adds a playable Amy Rose and the Chaotix that would be the coolest poo poo in the world.

Look I know people love talking poo poo about Sonic's friends, but it's fine when you're going through the same levels as Sonic does with them. What people don't like is hunting for emeralds and going fishing in a Sonic game. Or being an edgy goth Sonic with a gun.

The fly would be booted out the instant they touched a red sphere, which is likely gonna happen by the same stroke of luck that led to them winding up in Blue Sphere to begin with, so it's probably not really the death sentence you're making it out to be.

Having the friends have different gameplay is fine, it just has to be designed and executed well, which is very challenging.

I think it's the CAC's weird fangy overbite and glasses. He just looks like he fundamentally does not belong.

I sort of like the fact that the 'canonical' CaC is a giant dorky looking guy. It's ridiculous but better than what will inevitably be the real CaCs who will all be black-and-red NotShadows.

I hated Big the Cat's story, but that's because I played the DX PC release with just a keyboard, and so while everything else controlled fine, the fishing was godawful to use. So it might have been okay and fine on a controller for all i know.

Don't worry, Sega will continue to direct resources at having animals make Sonic games with 130 furry friends while letting obvious casino night zones of money slip through their fingers.

After the 16th where we see 19000 sonic fanvideos about how mania is a giant letdown (even though the game is fantastic, just to be clear) on the 19th or so we'll get an announcement it sold like a million copies and it's a huge success followed by them announcing the team doing like, a 16 bit recreation Sonic runners game or some rear end backwards idiocy instead of obvious DLC while Sonic Mania 2 will go to Sonic Team to "bring the franchise into the next millenium" with modern Sonic starring and a homing attack driven demo through another Green Hill Zone. This time there will be ... I don't know, snow on it, or some poo poo...

On the plus side we'll get a Cybershell video where he literally falls out of his chair and rolls around his room screaming obscenities with the Springyard Zone music playing in the background.
