Almost all the defensemen left are terrible and I feel like I could use a smart, well-rounded old-man presence in the backend. Pauly "Walnuts" Martin is on his last legs but he'll be the #4/5 defenseman on a team that is very young in the backend.

Time for my next pick to pack his bags yet again, as defenceman Adam Clendenning is heading to Philadelphia. Really the only knock on him is he'll turn 25 shortly after the season starts and only has 81 games under his belt. However he's a great skater and has the fancystats of a top-4 guy when he's actually given a shot to play. You can do a hell of a lot worse for a 3rd pairing guy on the right side. I am going to take a guy who was loving dead and then somehow came back to life in time for the playoffs. Concussions are a scary thing, I'm taking a risk here but I want Clarke MacArthur on my team. He played well in the playoffs, played well when he's been healthy and he should do well this upcoming season if he's actually free of the concussions that have plagued him the past two years. lots of fun teams this season. I like the Canucks, Lightning, Flyers, Sharks, Blackhawks, Marc Bergevin's Les Habitants sans Seabrook and the Edmonton defense and I only really giggled aloud at one team and really just one pick. Vegas is a bizarre thing I would like to see in action. so normally around this time as interest starts waning, we drop the window per pick to 1 hour. how would you guys feel about doing that at the start of round 16?
