A shitty post? This calls for a dance of deduction.
Also, during ReLife, the main character is referred to as a NEET. I thought NEETs are those not in school, job, or training and are not looking for employment?

Can't remember this, but is this done by the narration, Yoake or someone else? As far as I know, at the beginning, Haizaki more or less counts as a "Freeter" (he does have a part-time job).

Okay that makes sense.

Also, I recall someone saying in the original web comic the main character had an extensive criminal record or something?

The funniest part of Kizu 3, yeah.

All three were great, and I recommend you guys check them out if you haven't seen them. A bit too thirsty in parts, perhaps, but the story, action, music, and humor were all well done.

Just how many mistakes have you suffered on the way here?

An uncountable number, to be sure.

No, he didn't. There's nothing significantly different about the premise, iirc.

His specific reason for not having a job is later addressed, if that's what you're stuck on.

Her power is that she gets stronger in the water, but tbh that's still not very strong.

She and the other grassroots youkai are minor youkai who'd rather stay out of trouble than start incidents.

I'm now watching ReLife. A coworker of mine recommended me the manga instead, but the anime seems good. I do struggle to understand how a grad student can't find any type of employment.

It's a pretty good show. I think there's one arc that's a little slow (volleyball) but the rest is fun.

If you like it, try to read the manga, which is now a little harder to find than it used to be. It's a very compassionate work (without being treacly) and I quite love it for that.

Dungeon Meshi has made me want to play a cozy classic jrpg. Should I play EOV (I've tried every mainline game, and I like the first few stratums, but for some reason I've dropped each one) or one of the DS/3DS DQ's (Leaning towards either DQ 7 or 8, although 7 sounds like a real slog) or something completely different?

I'd go with DQ8. Fun plot and characters. Not too hard outside of needing to grind here and there.
