I once knew a guy who would proudly declare that she was his favourite actress and Spiderbabe his favourite movie. He was... he was an interesting one. Also one time he snorted crushed Altoids for shits and giggles. It's the only time I can think of where he came to the conclusion that he'd made a poor choice. All in the middle of class too, in hindsight the teacher didn't give a poo poo unless we were actively killing each other.

RIP Mr. Locher. Say what you will about his era of Dick Tracy, but it sure entertained the hell out of us for a long, long time. The Classic Dinette Set is photoshopped. Working Daze delegates. Super-Fun-Pak-Comix wants to set right what once went wrong.

FrumpleOrz posted:Old New Yorkers Cartoons I'm not sure precisely when any of these cartoons are from but the copyright dates in the book are from 1939 to 1941. Dan McCoy of The Flophouse podcast posited that a better universal caption than "Christ, what an rear end in a top hat" for New Yorker cartoons would be (to paraphrase, since I can't remember the exact wording), "I feel our sex ritual has become too elaborate." So far, it holds up. I have a coworker who believes the Earth is flat. Yes, she is that dumb. But trying to discuss it with her is pointless because she thinks she's so smart. So goddamn stupid. Even if she were 100% telling the truth that would be goddamn stupid. Speaking of...
