Lots of white people for Detroit though, and there are quite a few Portland scarves in there in what I can only assume is some sort of double transplant move when somehow Portland became too mainstream for them.

They definitely take themselves too seriously but to some extent if you go half way on this stuff it'll be lame. I think there's room for two clubs in Detroit. One will be the sanitized American style sports team and then the other the gritty underground-ish that's a blast. I'll attend both for sure. Don't think I've ever seen a Portland scarf there before, will need to rewatch. There is another supporters group that has similar colors though. The Northern Guard is just one of the several supporter groups that go, albeit the biggest by far. Also, anything that gets white people out of the suburbs and into the city to see that it isn't this big scary place is all good in my book!

The better part of the video is the back half where it focuses on the club and not the self promoting nature of the supporters club. I do cringe at statements like "City till I die" for something that was created five years ago. I'm nearly at the same statement for my nine year old son.

I mean, you got to start somewhere. But when you don't have any history, start off with banners and statements like "this club is pretty cool and I think I like it. I may devote more time to rooting for them" before going all hyperbolic. Get some freaking time under your belt. That's my only complaint.
