The German-dubbed Danger Mouse this goon grew up with had the best villain name ever: Baron Ekel von Etzmolch. But that is all I remember. Also I like the meat homestead, thank you.

I had a Danger Mouse book when I was a kid back in the 80s. I seemed really bizarre and otherwordly to me because it was nothing like any other media I was exposed to. Hard to explain but I caught a distinct difference in the language and setting. Turns out it was just my one exposure to British media in North America and as a 5 year old idiot it can be quite jarring.

Along with Danger Mouse and Bananaman, what I remember from Nickelodeon as a really young kid was this, it still gets stuck in my head randomly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bETCusT5kNM

Also I like the meat homestead, thank you. I agree, with words meaning "disgust" and "newt" in there it's much more sleazy than "Silas Greenback". Also kudos to whoever renamed Penfold as "Lübke", which for every German immediately evokes this bumbling politician: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heinrich_L%C3%BCbke Oh right, funny picture. Hang on. Oh. let's keep it German, why don't we? It's not the wurst thing to ever happen.

Oh man I totally grew up with NFB animations because I'm Canadian and when I was growing up I had 3 channels, one of them was CBC and they played this and a poo poo ton of other odd animations every single day on TV multiple times. There's so many of these which are now the most amazing cultural artifacts and I love them all But no really. it's super cool that this was created through a Canadian government funded arts project then ended up on Nickelodeon like a decade later.
