Taylor has had a direct relationship with his stars for a long time and he the extension is waiting on Taylor and Wiggins to sit down, and Taylor wants to set expectations that they see a continued improvement curve to Wiggins' game, that his scoring isn't enough. That's basically exactly what everyone on this board has said. Taylor said Wiggins is not available for trade and he wants to meet with him, but has agreed in principle to the rookie-max 5 year deal. If Wiggins signs the deal it takes many potential trades off the table and means the Cavaliers have to wait to make any deal involving Wiggins. It's coming out because media members are literally asking directly and then reporting the answers.

He's the black hole gunner the Knicks deserve, not the one they need. Hilariously, he spent a couple years playing in the triangle, and sorta kinda doing ok in it.
