He did pressure Hank a lot about hiring the Fudge Cake. That wasn't too cool.

I love how he legit didn't realize that was illegal.

quote:

COP: We're shutting you down, sir. This is an illegal gaming establishment.
JOHN RECORN: Illegal? No. We're on Indian land. Look at me. Look at all the headdresses.
COP: Yes, sir, and we are in Texas, where there is no Indian gaming. Didn't you wonder why there were no other Indian casinos?
JOHN REDCORN: I thought it would work to our advantage.

DALE: So it turns out I'm not the actual Dale Gribble, but a clone of him. The original Dale Gribble is a super-warrior from the year 2087. The second me, i.e. I, was created to help the first me fight the invading Mongol armies.
HANK: Dale, that's asinine, and here's four reasons why. First, you're not gonna clone a super-warrior out of a guy who can't even win a thumb-wrestling match. Two, you've spent your life swearing that the robots will eliminate the clones by the year 2010, so which is it, robots or clones? Three, you've already said you sympathize with the invading Mongolians of 2087, so you'd be the last one they'd send to fight them. And four, if you were from the future, you would have seen this coming. (Punches Dale in the arm)

This is so good. I love how Hank, despite knowing Dale is a jackass, still is a good friend and listens intently.

I don't like how dumb Joseph gets in the last few seasons, though. I guess Bobby already fits the kinda smart but also awkward niche but I think it made more sense when Joseph was more or less that way too

They really mixed up how crazy he was too. I don't think they every settled on the perfect Joseph. He had a speech impediment too.

As much as I want to leave King of the Hill ending on a reasonably high note [despite differing opinions about the later season(s)], part of me is really curious how Hank Hill would deal with Donald Trump as president.

Especially in regards to steak prep.

I can't imagine how he'd handle the Trump presidency. He fled the country after getting a limp handshake from the most ideally Hank Hill presidential candidate.

If we're talking alternate scenarios I like to think there is an alternate universe where Cotton doesn't die and the final episode is Hank, Bobby, and Cotton finally bond on their love for the Donald

Hank could never love Trump because he's from New York and likes well done steaks. Cotton would hate Trump because Trump is a pansy and a draft dodger. Bobby might like Trump because he saw him on the Apprentice.

Ok. Then their hatred for Trump and their decision to vote for Gary Johnson.

Also in regards to the Boomhauer career revieal, I'm not really seeing anything that contradicts his job. The only real thing I've seen with his job was his 'oh I'm on workers comp' in the lawnmower focus group episode. Which could totally just be a dismissal since he probably shouldn't be like 'I'm a Texas ranger'

I expected those to loving suck, and instead they were easily on par with the originals, and probably better because awful MTV shows are much better fodder to rip on than weird 90s videos.
