You probably shouldn't google anything Avatar related with safe search off.

I mean really any cartoon that adult internet people watch that's probably true.

I reread MPH last night to make sure it was good and it is. It was also published like 3-4 years ago so Mark Miller either:

A) Stole the story from an up and coming artist
B) Got better
C) Was always good

I'm leaning towards A.

Just finished Mr.Robot Season 2 and I don't know how to feel about it. I thought that Season 1 was so strong but Season 2 near the end just left me with a sour taste in my mouth. Darlene's character had become so unpleasant, Tyrell's sudden unexplained appearance wasn't satisfying. Am I in the minority for not liking Mr. Robot Season 2?

Nahh man, I watched like 4 episodes of season 2 and realized it was overhyped and I don't think they really expected to get past season 1 because it started to suck poo poo.

Japanese dramas that focus on slice-of-life experiences of students/young people in realistic ways. Ones that I've enjoyed are Orange Days and Strawberry on the Shortcake, so I'm looking for more like that. Shows like GTO and Stand Up are OK, but begin to teeter into cartoon territory a bit much for me.

e: trying out Summer Snow, but other suggestions are welcome!

Well, that's unexpected.

Chelsea Handler's show is apparently still going - the THR article there notes at the end that it revamped its format earlier this year. I've not seen so much as a mention of it on Netflix, although maybe their magic algorithms decided that as an 18-34 year old cis heterosexual white male there was no point in even putting the icon in the "What's New" category for my account.

Discussion about potentially bringing back King of the Hill

TVLine posted:

The network has had “preliminary conversations” with series creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels about reviving the ‘toon, Fox Chairman and CEO Dana Walden confirmed to reporters Tuesday at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour. “I would like to explore that [further] with Mike and Greg,” Walden added. “Given what’s going on in the country [under President Trump], I think they have a point of view about how those characters would respond. But it was one meeting. I hope to revisit it.”

Walden was quick to note that both Daniels and Judge “are very busy,” and stressed that the meeting was “a first, exploratory [conversation]…. It’s about finding time [to do it].”

Why, did he turn into an rear end in a top hat?

The Beavis and Butthead revival turned out really good, but I think KOTH should probably stay dead.

I absolutely loved the season at the beginning and gradually soured on it slightly because the plot just didn't move even a little bit. We literally end up in the exact same place in the end of s2 as we were in 1.
