Finally saw this episode. Oh my God James. Oh my God. That same amp and everything, it was incredible. I do believe this is the second time ever with the performer getting that little aside "The Roadhouse proudly presents..." introduction. Just as the power of Nine Inch Nails revived Evil Cooper, so shall the power of James Hurley bring back Special Agent Cooper next week. The last time we saw Sarah watching TV she was watching footage of lions destroying an animal with satisfied look on her face, did I remember that right? I remembered it because we see a lot of that scene via the reflection of the footage some mirror knickknacks hanging on the wall behind her sofa so we can see her reactions at the same time. This was the episode that some places have given the title "Time Reveals Itself." CJacobs posted:A dude's reflection being out of sync with his actions cannot possibly be done unintentionally. How in the hell could you accidentally desynchronize someone from their reflection in a window? Bob's literal real life origin was that they screwed up and caught Frank Silva's face in a mirror so...

It's not like we're trying to get the good video game ending. If Dougie was still Dougie living in the casino penthouse with Janie at the end of the season and nothing else was made of that plot I wouldn't care. Like, an ending doesn't have to be an ending or a good ending for your favourite guy or whatever. I liked the end of season 2. Cooper is inhabited by Bob. Bob wins. The end of show. Figure out what happens next in your mind and argue with your friends about it.

eSporks posted:Disagree on one point. I don't see season 2 as an ending or having closure. Things don't have to end happily or the way you want them to, but Coop being inhabited by Bob is clearly letting you know there is much more to the story and things will go on after it. I definitely hope we get much more closure out of s3. You know what, I thought it was an ending and a cliffhanger. Everyone that messes with the black lodge dies. I would be satisfied if Cooper never came back and has for this entire time been effectively dead with Bob driving his body around (which is the way I interpret his possession) with Dougie being an echo of Cooper designed by Mike in the hope of countering Bob (but we all know Mike is poo poo so it's just this weird, idiotic shell). I don't think we are going to see Cooper exchanged back into Dougie/Bad Cooper from the lodge or anything and I don't particularly want to. e: but you know, I don't discount bad Cooper being the doppelganger (who is Bob anyway I guess) and Dougie being real Cooper. I don't think we will encounter Cooper until on of the other protagonists reaches the black lodge though and that will likely be the finale. Stop freaking out, it will be fine. We already know coop comes back because the first scene in series is after coop wakes up by the giant (im guessing coop gets shot 3 times by tim roth and the giant shows up) and we know that the giant telling coop about richard, linda and numbers is after coop wakes up because in that scene cooper doesnt have his fbi pin, but when he went into the lodge and all the way until he comes out of the socket he has it. And as dougie he no longer has the pin. And no its not an editing mistake either because gordons pin rotated while he was looking into the vortex. 5 hours is two to three movies worth. Kinda hilarious when its tv then there isnt enough time to tie it up! I see this complaint with GoT and how theres only like 13 episodes left of the series or some poo poo and people cant wrap their heads around how things will get tied up in time. loving lol.

People were saying the same thing after episode 12 though. No doubt it'll continue until the finale hehe Also the first scene of s3 isn't set after Coop wakes up, what? "You are far away."

I hope you love the movie as much as I do. Please, if you watch The Missing Pieces, do it after Fire Walk With Me. Don't watch the fan edit that combines them. It's cool but ruins the pace and tone of FWWM.

I think the fan edit is fine. I'm no FWWM enthusiast but the inclusion of the extra stuff made it feel more like old Twin Peaks (complete with plenty of comedy) and less like a straight up horror film. It certainly doesn't make the movie itself better, but it's not a bad viewing experience.

It's a great viewing experience. After you experience FWWM the normal way. A big part of why the movie is so special is it feeling nothing like Twin Peaks. It shouldn't feel like Twin Peaks. The last week of Laura Palmer's life should be horrifying, rather than a campy soap opera mystery. I loved TMP, and I enjoy the fan edit a lot, but there's something to be said for watching FWWM in its original form. I might even say it's important.

The last scene of the series is an extremely slow zoom out where the words THE END is scrawled on a script. David Lynch turns around and says that this is just a show and y'all really should just relax

Last episode those 3 LA police clowns got Dougie prints result. They dissmissed it as a mistake, but maybe they checking for it triggered some alert in FBI, since Cooper is a very very wanted man. That could be what causes Gordon team to fly to LA

I think the storylines will be wrapped up in a climax at Twin Peaks but there won't be time set aside to explain everything that was weird over the season. The narrative is focusing on Twin Peaks more and more and all we really need is either the FBI to find Dougie or for Cooper to wake up for the final showdown to happen.

I would like to see some payoff for trouble inside the Lodges storyline they've been building, Want to know what's up with 'It is in our house now' and Mother/Experiment chasing Coop and breaking out of the glass box
