extradite THIS! posted:Seeing as this is the Match Recommendation Thread, my personal favorite match of last year and probably the single best match I've ever witnessed with my own eyes was finally uploaded to YouTube (they wanted to make a DVD of the event but I guess that's not happening) and I just REALLY want to recommend people watch it if you have the time: This was a drat good match. I do like powerhouse vs. technical dude matches, and they were both super good at their roles. (Also, more folks need to use Genesis by Justice as an entrance theme.)

MOTYC: Skyman vs. Saturno - 3/3 - Campeonato Supremo Muchas Luchas - Cara Lucha, Arena San Juan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNVQut6bJLg This one's been around for a while but it was from just before I started following +Lucha closely so I missed it until it showed up on thecubsfan's "Watch Later Catch Up" report today. Tremendous lucha juniors match, where it feels like they start out doing cool regular moves and then they decide those aren't enough so they start making up even wilder moves. it's got a little bit of everything that's good about lucha libre and I think you'll enjoy it. Saturno’s been well regarded but lightly seen by virtue of the Guadalajara indies being barely visible, but this caliber of match should’ve gotten him booked anywhere. It’s the kind of match Sky Man and Rayo Star were trying to have when feuding, but Saturno’s just a bit better than them. Just a bit insane too; I don’t know if he knew this was his best shot to make a name for himself, but he’s clearly throwing everything into it from the opening moment, trying to kill Sky Man as much as he’s trying to kill himself. Sky Man meets Saturno on his level, trying to fight fire with fire. The match breaking down into a scrum of punches and gouging on the mat feels completely earned, and that hatred seems to flesh out the match a little bit more than just seeing the spots. Sky Man comes out the winner but it felt like he survived a war rather than conclusively won. This one of the matches of the year to watch.

MOTYC: Omega/Okada HM: Elgin/Juice Maybe I'm biased because I love Juice but that was a really really good match that continued to build Juice into a top level contender. Especially the fact that Elgin felt the need to try a Burning Hammer to put Juice away.
