Yeah, My best friend passed away back in June. When he did he already had an appointment to get a tattoo of the Doyle logo. He'd even paid for it already. I kept his appointment and it became this kind of thing. Four of us have it now. He went into the ground with a pick Doyle threw from the stage the last time we saw him in his his hand.

It's okay! It's been a month and a half and while I still miss him every day that picture was taken at a benefit show to raise money for his family that I organized, we're talking about starting a foundation in his name to help musicians pay for opiate addiction treatment programs. The benefit gave us all a way to say goodbye together and hopefully the start of building toward stopping people from feeling the way we do right now.

I grew up a massive dinosaur nerd. So today I went to visit the most extraordinary fossil find we've ever drug up. It's an intact nodosaur, complete with fossilized flesh and skin. It's a literal dinosaur, not just bones. I never dreamed something like this could ever be found.

Totally going to post real photos as requested! It's named Borealopelta markmitchelli, after the fossil tech who spent 6 years removing it from rock. It's a unique species too, only one of its kind found.

I'm one of those silly happy criers so my eyes welled up pretty good when I saw it. The tawny red colour patches is actual pigment from the skin and plates that fossilized as well. It's unbelievably awesome.

Edit: I found this pic from when I was at the museum in 2014 while it was being worked on in the lab. Obviously it was super cool but they didn't really let on just how cool until it was officially unveiled.

Goober it depends on the bird! Some are really soft like velvet and others are smoother, more like satin. Sometimes they're really plush and other times not so much. Kinda like how dog coats vary :3:
