I like this name for him. Nice alliteration, and he deffo is. Also, yeah, as long as they're expecting some sort of publicity, they'll still show up and try to do something somewhere. Although neither College Station nor Bryan doesn't really have any other highly visible public areas to do a gathering like that.

Sounds about right. And a huge relief that they're shutting it down. I'm 10,000 miles away at sea for another six weeks and my fiancee expressed intent on going to the counter protest once I told her about this.

There's unfortunately gently caress-all they can do, according to Tito Jackson, unless they erect a stage or talk through a bullhorn. Some of the leaders are dropping out for fear of bodily harm, but chances are good they'll scrape together a few dozen.

Happened like 20 mins ago. If you don't know what it is, it's a giant walkway of glass with all the names of holocaust victims on it. Already in custody. Rock was thrown.
Shameful. Although slight correction, instead of names there are numbers, which is a subtle difference that I think is actually pretty powerful. The font is very, very small.

Incidentally, if someone's never seen the monument and is in Boston it's absolutely worth a detour. It's extremely well done, easily accessed (right by City Hall) and understated but chilling.

Plus afterwards you can go grab a meal like half a block away at the Union Oyster House.

Not C-ville, as that may be trying to use the image of the dead a bit too hard.

But staging a huge counter-protest in the NEXT such demonstration, with actual public figures there to make it official and start welding the opposition back together and show the size of the shitstorm waiting those who try to sit on the fence about it...that would be something to see.

Knew a guy who'd kicked something of about that weight and solidity when he was super drunk. A few years later his doctor asked him what the gently caress he'd done to his foot and why he hadn't gone to a doctor immediately after. Turns out he'd essentially split it in two and just hadn't bothered getting it checked out properly, just walking around with a perma-broken foot for years until it started swelling up even worse.
