I beat it yesterday, there's a clear difference in visual quality/theming between the remixed stages and the original ones but other than that it's pretty good

btw, thank you for sonic mania again. I cant remember the last time I played a new game on release day, and I'm glad its one with such a nostalgic appeal, even if its delayed two weeks.

I don't particularly like how the art for the new stages clashes with that of the old ones. Also having blue spheres be the bonus stage breaks up the flow of gameplay too much imo. Those complaints aside, I'm happy to be playing Sonic Mania.

It's so drat good but I think I need to sleep 9 zones and 16 blue spheres into the game Probably not going to end up getting every emerald this time but I'm fine with that. This game makes me so happy
