Looks like a French far-right group might have been at the neo-nazi march in the US yesterday. Unless it's another group with the same symbol (possibly, but this is what a Twitter account named "Le Peuple Bonapartiste" is saying so lol). https://twitter.com/WCM_JustSocial/status/896739591117557760 Kassad fucked around with this message at 21:27 on Aug 13, 2017 |

I'm not surprised that they would show solidarity with their fellow shitheads, but still, why the gently caress where they over there?

I made fun of the Twitter account with a Bonapartist name, but he says it's a Spartan symbol that's also used by far-right groups in the US. Sounds believable, at least.

The Spartans used lambda painted on their shields, which looks like a wedge... but these photos have the wedge turned by 180 degrees (also there seems to be some squiggly lines breaking up the basic geometry). So either it's not Spartan imagery, or the authors are too dumb to paint their "shields". That symbol looks more like a Zoro mark, which would be more hilarious, and easier to mock.

According to https://twitter.com/WCM_JustSocial/status/896743575781875713 fascist shitheads tried to create a chapter in the states. I guess they kept the logo anyway. It makes sense since they identify as white Europeans first and they keep using the same iconography as hate groups here in Europe. I watched some footage of the protest and I saw countless runes (of course), a few Totenkopfs (sadly, pretty much par for the course at this point) and the sun wheel was everywhere; which is weird since I recognized that last one because it's (mostly, AFAIK) used by the Aryan Sisterhood, and it wasn't used by leather-clad female SS praetorians but by regular shitlords with wooden shields. Enjoy your nazis America! Please punch them on sight TIA

Absurd Alhazred posted:Is this saying that there will be no whatever the equivalent of payroll taxes is in France on people earning minimum wage? Basically yes. I can't stress enough how terrible this idea is. They're promoting the reform by saying minimum wage workers will make more money, but in reality this means that the small part of our wages that is collectivized won't be collectivized anymore; pensions, healthcare, child benefits and unemployment insurance among others are part of what they call "charges" to imply that they're a dead weight for everybody even though they're only in the way of the free market. This is the first step in privatizing our last socialist institutions. And I'm saying this as a minimum wage worker who's going to make between 100 and 200 more euros a month if this ever becomes law. They're taking a poo poo on all the post-WWII reforms that were meant to improve the lives of working class people.

Another car attack in Marseille. One dead, perp https://twitter.com/afpfr/status/899564292462313472 Horrid stuff as usual, but it feels like ISIS's death throes as they're losing enormous ground in their actual territories, especially with the upcoming assault on Tal Afar. Not that them losing the last of their territories will really repair the damage to our politics and society... lost in postation fucked around with this message at 11:07 on Aug 21, 2017 |
