I actually like how DC digital trades have neat extras at the end of the book (whereas Marvel usually just collects the issues), but they are not very good at digital.

I loved the late '80s/early '90s Mister Miracle series than ran concurrently to JLI/A. I used to have all 28 issues and sold that run, among many other great comic runs, during my grad school collection purge. If you're a fan of the Giffen/DeMatteis JLI/A, don't sleep on that one.

A lot of times they'll add issues just for the sale. For example, during the black history/creator month (I don't recall which it was titled), they added a few issues of the Jason Rusch Firestorm series, though not all of them.

I've asked this before, but what are you guys using these days to view/track digital comics that aren't through Comixology? Like all the Humble Bundle comics, I have a gazillion to read and I'd like to have some way of tracking which ones I've read and which are new. Ideally with a way of reading on my Android tablet.

Gummy Bear Heaven ... It's where I go when the world is too mean.
Before I fell horribly behind, I would keep track of my books on comicbookdb.com, but it's not automatic.

These days, I transfer books to my tablet with Dropbox and delete them from there as I read them. I have a primary copy backed up elsewhere. Again, not automatic, but works for me.

Android I have no clue. On iOS I use YACReader for that stuff. That way I don't have to actually transfer it to the iPad because it can be read it straight from my computer. As far as I know it's the only reader capable of reading straight from remote PC without downloading the files on iOS.

I really try to avoid Humble Bundles these days because I prefer to have most of my books in one app though. Especially since every once in a while they give you PDFs for some insane reason.

Yeah my current method is pretty similar, I copy to my OneDrive and delete from there, but still seems like there should be an easier way. :)

Anybody able to say what's worthwhile in this?

I remember picking up a G.I. Joe reboot a number of years back, and it was pretty goddamn bad for a 1st issue. I distinctly remember them having a social media manager complete with codename 'Hashtag', and it was played up as a completely self serious attempt at reflecting 'realistic' Joe team.

The Transformers Phase 2 stuff is the stuff that's gotten critical buzz. The earlier stuff isn't bad per se, just kind of rote and overcooked in places. Either way that's a lot of comics for $25, as the IDW collections are all like 300+ page trades compiling almost everything IDW's published with these properties.

Oni has some good stuff. My recommendations in this sale would be:

Letter 44
The Sixth Gun
The Bunker - Though I will admit the art style might be a turnoff for some people, I liked it but it's a rough style
Wasteland

I haven't read all of Stumptown, but what I have read is really good.

All of those are pretty lengthy deep dive books though. So If you're looking for a short light fun read I recommend Jeff Steinberg or Terrible Lizard. They're both fun little books.
