Best CSPAM game would be Burning Wheel. Character creation is fun enough to do over and over, but actually playing the game is such a miserable experience that you stop and just make some more characters instead. It's like one neverending primary.

it is a time travel game about time combat, which is where you fight evil time travelers by going back in time and causing paradoxes in their personal frame of reference while they try to do the same to you. accumulate too much fragmentation from paradoxes and you cease to exist. also you can summon your future self to help you win a fight but later in the campaign you have to do the encounter again and not get your past self killed or screw up the timeline while you're there. also if your future self dies when you summon them, congrats, you know when you're gonna die, spanner
