I imagine that if it wasn't someone like Jon Bois proposing this project to them, the mere mention of Felix being a major contributor would have been enough to make a superior to stomp this project out.

I recall that one of the articles they most viciously hated on, the one about how Blue States should secede, was from the New Republic--but it's not like they declare whole centre-left media outlets haram. In other news, I managed to piss off the most activist socialist person I know by hating on "coding is the future," which I really did not expect. It was odd going from that to listening to a Trillbilly episode about misguided attempts to Save Appalachia.

I have a friend who constantly does that on Facebook and it makes me so loving mad because he's otherwise a good guy with correct opinions. Edit: I really think it just comes down to how hard it is to admit you were wrong, especially when you were so publicly certain and smug about it being a foregone conclusion.
