Like 95% of my games are the standard tier 10/9/8 games where the 88 is loving useless. Even if I shoot gold and go broke, I'll have trouble penetrating most tanks. So I'm getting gently caress all XP, especially since I have next to zero ability to influence the game and am at the mercy of pubbies, and thus lose more often than not. Some mod I'm running estimates how long it'd take me to finish the unlocks (ie. unlock the 128mm) and how long to unlock the Jagdtiger. The figures for both were in the 450-500 game range. No loving way. In more positive news I also unlocked the top gun on my Tiger II and learned how to play it, and it's an amazingly fun tank!

I've been playing Wargaming's other title World of On the one hand it's reassuring that, in tanks like Warbotes, Tier X dictates match making is dictating lovely match making for Tier VIIIs. On the other, however, getting the XP to get from Tier VIII to Tier IX, and then from IX to X in Tanks is 6x harder than Botes. This has me rethinking my desire to play more Tanks.

At one point a JP2 was a serious consideration for us during Silver League, and we in fact won multiple matches with KV-5s because they had legitimate armor and could still pen things. Tier eights got power creeped hard, and the JP2 got nerfed hard for no explicable reason.

Sorry, but your tool is garbage. This isn't anywhere near accurate. I've played the post-nerf JP2, and continued to play it quite a bit even after unlocking the Jagdtiger. Even if we assume the new matchmaking system could add a substantial amount of games played before unlocking the JT, there's no way you should breach 250 games. /edit: What's the XP required to unlock the JT, 140k or something? I am now of the opinion that the British lines as they stand are mostly crap until they buff them. Do yourself a favor, stop at T5 on the heavy, T6 on the medium, skip the non turreted TD line, and only go up to the Archer on the other line. From there it is all downhill. The Caernarvon is absolutely crap as either a medium or a heavy.

I think I have the same mod; it's just performing the calculations based on base XP, not including any modifiers. The estimated battles it reports of course isn't accurate, but then again it's not like it can accurately account for all the variable boosts anyways. It's more useful for tracking the XP left for various unlocks and reminding you when you can research something.

Yeah I mean I know a little about them now, but I guess I'd never heard of them before because I don't listen to metal at all? I mean it's still weird because I pretty much exclusively listen to electronic/dance/bass but I still know of artists from other genres, except Sabaton.

They are way past "support band" as well, they are one of the best metal bands to see live currently. I've seen them several times now, once as support of Maiden and they easily outperformed those old men (might be because the new Maiden album is mediocre). Sadly the teams were being super poo poo yesterday, so I had problems making my Primo Victoria work. Had a 4.8k or something damage game in my Cent 7/1 tough, still a good tank that one.

That's about how much XP I'd be getting in a loss match where I do ~400-500 damage (and often even less because I'd die before getting the chance to shoot once)? Not all my games were like that, but MANY of my games were. Couldn't penetrate poo poo, couldn't hit poo poo from the ranges I'd have to be shooting from not to get insta-murdered after my first shot. Maybe it'd get better with the 128mm gun but with the 88 it was a loving horrible ding fest and the second gun upgrade is more of the same with much more expensive shells. It was a painful, horrible grind and I just didn't see much point in sticking with it when I have many more fun options to play. I just can't justify that sort of expense for a pixel tank at all at the moment, especially as I just recently bought the drat FV4202 (which I kinda wish I hadn't eventhough it was at a hefty discount).

I know the Conq is great but I don't know how suffering through 8 tiers of pure poo poo is ever going to be worth it. I've enjoyed the mediums up to and including the Cromwell. I just started on the Comet and it seems unremarkable. I think I'll wait to carry through it until the rest of the line gets buffed. Looking back at the Archer it was actually kind of a somewhat fun gimmick and that gun is absolutely monstrous for it's tier. The rest of them are lackluster. I guess the Charioteer is the best part of the line (and it's pretty bad before you get the top gun) but if that interests you, it might make more sense to save yourself dozens of hours and just pony up for the superior Skorpion.

The Tiger 2 armor isn't that bad, when you angle correctly your sides are auto bounces and your UFP gets around 225-230mm. That level of armor makes it a dice roll for a lot of rounds, of course, you shouldn't be pushing in the front in a tiger 2.

Slightly shorter reload, better aiming means more consistent damage over time and my Obj212A is currently fun as hell. Did 2 of the T-55A missions in consecutive missions yesterday. I also had a Prok game which ended in a draw thanks to no arty. I spent the entire game in my Conq on the middle ridge checking a purple T26E5. Since the rest of our teams were useless fucks, no side could realistically push and I kept wishing for having arty on either side to make the game end faster. But hey, I unlocked the FV215B ...

Couldn't you take the hellcat with the 76mil into historic as well? Similar outcome to the Easy 8. I mildly enjoyed historic, but like many game modes the rewards weren't worth the effort.
