One reason I think the spoilers are fake is that Howland Reed shows up for no loving reason when his narrative purpose has already been exhausted. I really doubt they'd waste time on that poo poo with 6 episodes left.

The real spoiler leaks for the last few seasons have all come from extras, on set location people etc, we've never gotten leaked info from people getting access to the scripts early. They haven't started filming season 8 yet. What you read was some guy on 4Chan's fanfiction attempting to replicate the style of the real previous leaks because he had way too much time on his hands and wanted to trick people. A 4Channer that loves Euron and hates Dany. I will give my hats off to that guy, he did a convincing job writing it in a really elaborate way to try to trick people and for the most part its pretty consistent. He really made it seem like a script that resulted from the way the show is made now (hack frauds D&D summarizing and rushing between bullet points of a better story that GRRM told them.)

There are a couple mistakes here and there that give it away, however. The most major seeming one is that Theon apparently dies in episode 2 but then shows back up later in the last episode with Yara to deliver the news that Jon et all exploded, although that could be explained away by the fact that in the latter scene the transcriber accidentally typed "Theon" instead of "Bronn." Also the writer seems to include that somehow Nymeria factors into the endgame and she travels with Arya and the Hound into King's Landing but then apparently disappears. Also it doesn't contain any details about how Nymeria reconnects with Arya at any point. I don't trust D&D at all and I think they suck, (and I believe that they would do a lot of the stupid poo poo described in the S8 writeup, like having Dany die in childbirth and then have yokels throw feces at their corpse, I totally buy that they would have that happen) but having a giant wolf somehow surreptitiously sneak into King's Landing through the front gate seems a bit much even for them.

He obviously read the S7 leak spoilers beforehand and based a lot of his fake S8 script based on that before he actually watched the final two episodes of the season. The S7 leaks we got from extras/location people were accurate, but they omitted some details here and there, especially regarding scenes that happened in enclosed spaces with just a few actors. For example, there wasn't anything in the S7 leaks about the scene from last episode where Tyrion is talking to Dany about succession and mentions the way that the Night's Watch and Ironborn elect leaders - to me, I feel like that scene highly implies that the endgame includes at least some sort of prototypical attempt at an eventual democracy/republic for Westeros. In addition, the accurate S7 leaks omitted a few details about Cersei's plan and Jaime's departure from tonight's episode, they did not include the detail that Cersei pledged to send the Lannister army north to help fight. They include a scene where Jaime and Bronn meet at a tavern and Jaime is surprised to see him there showing up to help. But tonight's episode ends with Bronn and the majority of the Lannister army believing that they were legitimately going to march north and only Jaime knew about the duplicitous betrayal privately, so there's no reason for Jaime to be surprised to see Bronn there like the fake S8 spoilers seem to suggest.

Even if you're correct, you've spent more time and thought on this than that 4channer, who in turn did more than D&D.

I don't even know who to mock anymore.

I repeat it. Jon Snuh's dialogue this episode was terrible. Every speech he gave sounded as if he was trying to be a facebook banner from the time when people put random and out of place inspirational quotes on their banners.

At the Wall, when gazing into the fires, Melisandre sees a wooden face, corpse white, a thousand red eyes, and a boy with a wolf's head beside him. She thinks to herself that they must be the Great Other's champions, as King Stannis is hers.

Further evidence in the text ties the Last Greenseer, Brynden Rivers, the Old Gods, and Bran Stark to the theme of darkness that draws The Great Other into opposition with R'hllor. The vision of Melisandre pointing towards Bloodraven and Bran as champions of The Great Other is corroborated in this exchange:
“There he sat, listening to the hoarse whispers of his teacher. 'Never fear the darkness, Bran.' The lord's words were accompanied by a faint rustling of wood and leaf, a slight twisting of his head. "The strongest trees are rooted in the dark places of the earth. Darkness will be your cloak, your shield, your mother's milk. Darkness will make you strong."

I thought there was more to the pregnant pause that's there when the Night King confronts Max von Sydow in the tree. We tellingly never see him actually die, we just see him vanish in Bran's vision. I've got this feeling that the theory that Bran has some connection with the White Walkers is true. He's never specifically said since his training that he's opposed to them.

Is there some kind of after show thing where they explain at exactly what point Arya and Sansa figured out all of Littlefinger's poo poo? Was it before the scene where she was talking to him about Arya possibly being out to kill her? Was it the whole time? Did Bran just tell Sansa and Arya a minute before the trial started?

I can't think of an answer that isn't retarded.

The spoilers obviously blew out the "big reveals", but this show has degraded to a high budget soap opera and I still don't care that I read them. For contrast I was upset that I read tonight's Twin Peaks spoiler ~2 weeks ago when I misread a link description in that thread.

It's sad that the season finale was just a series of bullet points spoken out loud with little to no build up. It was DBZ Abridged. But everyone on my Facebook feed had collective orgasms slightly offset by internet outages and cable provider issues, so this thread is where most of the unimpressed people are.

Sorry, thread. Gotta remind you all that this is prestige TV at the moment.

He really had no endgame goal, did he. If it was to marry Cat then Sansa, he sure sucked at it. Then this master schemer and liar gets bested by two young girls and dies like a bitch.

At least Varys knew from the start that what he wanted was peace through Dany. Although he is just a background decoration now, I don't even remember if he has had a single line all season.

That's what's implied in the scene, yeah. Which means that she then went to Bran and asked for dirt on Littlefinger. It's at this point and only at this point that Bran decides to clue her in that Littlefinger was behind their family's downfall the whole time.

It's been established for like 2 seasons now that she doesn't trust him and knows he's up to something but apparently never bothered to follow up on any of those suspicions until that one conversation.

A scene where she went to Bran and asked him to tell her about Littlefinger, and her reaction to finding out that he's responsible for her family's downfall could have been a really good scene - but it would have spoiled their dumbass fake out scene.

So saw "leaks for season 8" and they are fake. To much of the source material gets ignored and too obvious even if the fat man didn't write the last book yet. For example that part where Maggy the Frog tells Cersi her younger brother will kill her. If I recall correctly that wasn't some Valerian prophecy where genders and such can be fudged.

Besides who says it has to be her little brother? Remember how Bran could warg into Hodor, well why not the zombie Mountain? So she gets choked about by the mind controlled Mountain via Bran, the little brother.

People probably shouldn't take those "leaked" s8 scripts too seriously - there are some pretty major internal inconsistencies in them. For example, they have Howland Reid both dying in ep. 3 and also having scenes with Jon in ep. 4 (non-flashback). It's pretty clearly someone's fan fiction produced after reading the S7 spoilers.
