I thought ufc/mma's position on that chart was kinda weird, but I guess it's an age thing the people dragging it down to the bottom of voter engagement are the same people keeping it on the left side of the line, the gigantic mass of politically disengaged young people; it just feels like a right-wing sport because alt-right douchebags are the only ufc fans who care about politics much at all

Yeah, it's probably MMA's crossover with wrestling and the poorer working class. Also I didn't realise that the data is five years old (It was posted in the wrestling forum recently), and MMA might be the one sport where it could have shifted over that time (but probably not as much as you'd think). Still, you have to remember that many 'uncouth working poor' who watch combat sports are democrats (compared to say, rodeo). The oversight of not recognising that political identity was basically the thing that cost the Democrats the election.
