Antifas isn't a singular thing. An antifas bloc could is different from city to city, region to region, and even event from event. They share a core ethos(SMASH FASH) but some are much more militant than others. The Berkeley Antifas bloc tends to be pretty drat militant. The Right-Wingers knows this and they are going to try and trigger Berkeley antifas into a Left-Wing extremist Cville.

I found a facebook page for presumably an antifa group in my area but since they've made 6 posts since January that were all "message this page if you want to join the antifa" and every single reply to all of those posts was young white men posting "antifa are the real fascists" memes I'm gonna assume this is another one o those false flags I wonder how much of the antifa online presence is like this because I've yet to see anything that wasn't obviously run by nazis

I think that well-off liberals of the type who call out antifa, mostly grew up in a sheltered bubble where they never experienced any violence whatsoever. Which is good of course, but it can skew their perception of what is "right" or necessary, in some circumstances. Their parents largely grew up in a similar manner to them, and told them growing up that all violence is bad, and if they're bullied, the best course of action is to turn the other cheek/ignore it, and that advice has actually worked for most of these people, because most of them never were bullied (not the serious physical kind, at least), never saw or were involved in street fights, fights at school, etc, etc. They think ignoring violent, hateful people actually works, because what other alternative is there, from their point of view? Violence loving terrifies them, because it's so alien, and even worse, they don't know how to do it effectively themselves...violence is like, what the military, and gang members, and the Nazis do!! Not a normal person like themself! Punching? lmbo, what an outrageous idea! But they forget what it was that beat the nazis last time they tried to genocide everyone: a loving unimaginable poo poo ton of violence. but that's just part of it people are just really fuckin dumb too, and stupid and bad, and some of these"noooo antifa bad" idiots are simply afraid of being next in line for the guillotine thank u for listening, anti-nazi friends
