Anything lower than that = 100% chance miss

Have you tried the EU rolls mod? It separates the enemy roll into 3 so you get less bullshit like getting crit by a guy who's disoriented while you're in full cover.

Has anyone found an updated remove equipment mods like /dev/null made? I lucked into getting a Lock and Load style break through in my research, and suddenly miss being able to take mods OFF my guns if i want them elsewhere.

I'm not restarting the campaign again so I was just dicking around, but what the hell how can I pick the VIP up without getting instant killed.

The Lost need ladders to climb and their only attack is a point-blank melee swipe. Climb a ladder, park right at the top, shoot down at them for days. Plus, height advantage bonus to your aim!

Why not? This seems really backwards. I left the "integrated" option on because I figured it tied it in more with the new stuff from WOTC, but it... does the opposite?

Yeah. I haven't played the last couple DLC (rulers and sparks) so I was really looking forward to it all being together. Maybe I'll restart my campaign to do that since i'm only a few hours in... I was having so much fun in my current campaign though :(

If you integrated then they guard specific alien facilities you need to attack before they start showing up.

All the content is still there in Integrated DLC, it just doesn't get its own missions anymore. The developers thought that the early game was getting a bit crowded with special events and super-long scripted missions, so they tried to change up the content from the previous expansions to introduce it in a more gradual and less demanding way.

My very first retaliation mission in my very first expansion game had me activate all three god drat pods and the faceless from one dumb move. Then the resistance fighters killed all of the aliens who rushed out of cover to shoot civilians, and I won the mission. Then I lost that game, started a new one, did not get that mission setup, and had a Bad Time retrieving individual boxes of loot from a map where the aliens would take two for every one that I marked. Also, I learned that marking a box breaks concealment, that was nice.

Having the resistance fighters actually be somewhat capable is a really nice addition. The fact in vanilla that the only competent soldiers on the planet all work for XCOM is really dumb and undermines the idea that the resistance is larger than just you.

A good mod would be the ability to invest in areas to up the equipment of the rebels on the ground so that they could take care of attacks on their own.

Anyone feel the new autopsies items are really terrible? All are consumed on use while costing quite a bit. I think they should be like mimic beacon instead for them to be competitive.

Yeah, it was a really pleasant surprise having competent resistance fighters show up in my first terror mission.

I really love the new aspect the Chosen add to the game. I assume it's random which one you run into first, and I'm contending with the Assassin in my starting region. Just had a rescue mission where I had to extract an Engineer (and, optionally, revive and extract a Cpl ranger) away from a horde of Lost.

Would have been straight forward... except for the Assassin showing up just before I got to them.

Several turns later, my Specialist was laying in the street bleeding out, but had revived the ranger, the Lost had gotten in several hits on the Assassin.

My squad + the VIP + my new ranger extracted from the mission, with my other ranger having struck down the Assassin. The specialist sacrificed his life to save them.

1 KIA, 0 other injuries.

Absolutely nailbiting. The after-mission report said I killed 62 enemies. Easily one of the highest body-counts I've seen in XCOM 2, especially so early in the game (I'm almost done researching magnetic weapons)

loving awesome. (I'm playing on Commander. Not on Ironman but I don't savescum, I just sometimes do really stupid things when I'm high and need to back up 15-20 minutes)

How do chosen weaknesses actually work? The assassin one in my game has weakness to reapers and attacks from above. So I shot her with a reaper who was two levels above her and she took 4 damage from the 3-4 damage rifle the reaper carries. Which, frankly, seems pretty poo poo for having taken advantage of both weaknesses.

They usually add about 3 damage, much like how the Sectoid Melee weakness works.

My Assassin has a weakness to Reapers and with Mag weapons my Reaper hits her for about 10 a shot, sounds like yours is bugged somehow. Maybe the weaknesses accidentally cancel each other out somehow, try not being above, or shooting from above with a normal soldier and see if it works. If so, file a bug report so they'll fix it.

I have learned from Xcom and Xcom 2 never to play your first run through on Ironman. Wait a month or so for them to get in there and fix all the major bugs and then do your ironman run. Nothing is as infuriating as losing your A team to a game breaking bug and not being able to do anything about it.

EDIT: Also, it says my bonded pair can level up their bond, but I can't find anywhere to do that. Anyone have any ideas on where to find it?

I think somethings are a little broken with WOTC, I just did a facility mission where I used a reaper to spot for two sharpshooters, picking off pods without them moving into range of anyone, and the Archon King just sat there while my reaper exploded everything in the facility he was sat in, and my sharpshooters whittled him down. I also just did a civilian protection mission where rebel fighters were doing 6 damage per shot, and killed more aliens than I did, even the chosen.

Yeah I think they made the right call, the early game was crowded enough if you play with the tutorial and the lost and abandoned mission on. But if you turn those off then it wouldn't hurt to turn off integrated DLC.

I'm playing ironman and it is good. i have a hard time resisting savescumming, which ends up in me having way less fun, so ironman takes that out of the equation.

But I will probably have my entire campaign ruined at some point by a bug or spectacularly bad RNG.
