What's on your mind, Axa?
Huh, apparently there's a 1991 Prince Valiant animated series of Amazon Prime? And two different Flash Gordon shows (1979 and 1996)? And Defenders of the Earth? And Barney Google and Snuffy Smith? I think Defenders of the Earth is the only one I've ever heard of before.

I've got my father's great big six-shooter with me 'n' if anybody in this woods wants to start somethin' just let 'em--but they DASSN'T.
The 1979 Flash Gordon (at least season 1, which is about Flash arriving on Mongo) is one of the best things Filmation did in the late 70s. As for the Snuffy Smith cartoon, we never watched it back in the day, we endured it. There's also a Beetle Bailey series and a version of Krazy Kat that would make George Herriman do graveyard spins. But if you're feeling brave, go for it.

I remember it being shit.

Grimey Drawer
I remember the Prince Valiant cartoon being shown on tv. I don't remember liking it, but I was a dumb kid who probably didn't appreciate the frequent, violent and occasionally gleeful murdering.

Except it probably didn't have those bits.

Those "Krazy Kat" cartoons were made by Gene Deitch. Some of you might remember the comic strip he did that I posted on SA years and years ago, "Terr'ble Thompson". Deitch wrote about making those "Krazy" cartoons on his autobiography. Long story short: Deitch was a fan of the comics and wanted the show to be akin to it, but the producers at King Features wouldn't let him.

They got Paul Frees to voice Ignatz and Offisa Pup on those cartoons. June Foray voiced Krazy in the pilot, but another actress took over in the subsequent episodes.

Pretty sure the insects are confirmed to be insect-sized.
