I must say, getting a 2,323 out of 10 is an impressive score. It's nice that they included the public service announcement that jumping into the audience is bad, too

What's weird is that there is the same sort of building at the other end of that bridge with the same hole and it has the same effect. One of them also has an item at the top so it's not like they never intended for people to climb up there.

The only thing worse than "Photoreal is god" is "If you're not playing this game on a vintage 1985 tube TV using RF while solving a Rubik's Cube and guzzling New Coke, you're not getting anywhere near the experience the author intended and should throw away all your gaming poo poo" for retro gaming.

Your Computer posted:See also: Beautiful pixel art games ruined by "hi def" remasters like the old Final Fantasy games. I recently played the remaster of Full Throttle and thought the "updated" graphics look horrible, the animation lost all its charm and looked like a cheap Flash game. Luckily they also let you play with the original graphics (and can even switch between the two on the fly with a dedicated button).

I'm reminded of someone 'fixing' Skyward Sword by desaturating and darkening the gently caress out of screencaps to try to make it look more like Twilight Princess, but it ended up looking like poo poo because all the lighter colors (the sky, parts of your bird buddy and weapons) ended up blending together and the shading ends up looking hosed because everything ends up looking flat.

And note how in the "Fixed" version, you can can barely see the rugs in the top image, and in the bottom the rainbow is almost invisible and you can't make out the mist, and the spell on the far left is blurry as gently caress.

I have run hundreds of whimsyshire (yeah it's shire), hundreds. Never got the frame. Thank God for the WD chicken set though, the best set in the game. (it allows you to transform into an insanely fast chicken that explodes when you hit the button again, dealing pretty massive damage)

See also: Folks who don't understand how much time and effort goes into 2D art. That's a 2D pixel-art sprite, drawn and animated by hand (or at least translated from 3D to 2D by hand, look at the outline work in the shadow of the cap), and IGN described it as "a bit pixelated but quite good." There's more here - http://www.dinofarmgames.com/a-pixel-artist-renounces-pixel-art/ - talking about how much time and effort goes into pixel art, how much can be lost in the translation to HD or 3D, and why their studio isn't going to bother with pixels anymore.

It also make me think of the transition of Guilty Gear from 2d art in XX Accent Core+ to Xrd's cell-shaded 3d models, ArcSys spent a lot of time to make the new models match up to the 2d's in terms of fluidity and keep the general sense of style. It's not as detailed as KoFIII but I always liked the little details and movements in the models, and it's the eye to detail that ultimately sells a character.

There's this guy on youTube called Stryder7x who makes videos about breaking the normally pretty solid Paper Mario games. Here's a video demonstrating how to murder your very good friend Kooper. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHVvq_x6jDc Ditching Luigi is so easy, you might do it accidentally. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2M_jmC--bo At the beginning of the game, a very old goomba named Goompa joins your party as your first, if temporary, partner. It's possible to skip the part of the game where Goompa leaves your party and is replaced by his grandson, Goombario. Among the many strange side effects of this glitch, the strangest occurs when you and Goompa fight a Duplighost, which can transform into a copy of your partner.
