Actual true story: Not to rub it in (actually, yeah, I'm gonna rub it in), but my wife is also close to a decade younger than me and she's hot. She's a goon, into games, and she's a CSE major that can out-code most of the posers in this thread. And to return to an earlier point -- just perhaps, the people that cry sperg the loudest may want to look inward. And just perhaps, maybe I'm doing something right and the problem isn't with me.

Adventures will have a lot of variation in length and mechanics. Like yeah there might be some that are complex and take an hour to complete, but there are definitely some where you walk five minutes and kill a dude and then someone narrates some garbage plot to you about why you killed them.

Dang, I didn't realize that the years of triumph or whatever were just regular poo poo you would get by playing the game. I'm mildly disappointed I didn't do those when they first came out, I could have got almost all the way complete, but oh well I guess. I never would've done the crazed poo poo like max out the grimoir or whatever. For some reason I always thought it was super intense stuff that would be way too big a pain in the rear end to beat for no reason.
